hutaree militia

ChattahBox)—-An Adrian, Michigan-based Christian militia group, named Hutaree, was among the militia groups targeted by the F.B.I. in several weekend raids that also led to arrests in Ohio and Indiana. Multiple news outlets are reporting that at least seven people were arrested, possibly for manufacturing pipe-bombs or plotting against Muslims. The federal charges won’t be unsealed until the militia members appear in court on Monday. But all of the attention has been focused on the strange “Colonial Christian Republic” group Hutaree, which is preparing for the Apocalypse as heavily armed soldiers battling the anti-Christ. “Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment,” reads the group’s

CNN reported the F.B.I. confirmed that the raids have nothing to do with recent threats against Congressional lawmakers or terrorist plots. Other than that acknowledgment, F.B.I. officials are saying very little about the weekend raids on militia enclaves. Detroit FBI Special Agent Sandra Berchtold told the Detroit Free Press, “We can confirm that there were law  activities in the Lenawee/Washtenaw County area, but “the federal warrants are sealed and we can not comment at this time.”
