We have talked about the cool BumpTop 3D desktop before. The cool desktop makes your PC desktop 3D looking and it pretty cool. The application sold in a pro version for about $30 previously.
BumpTop has announced that it has been purchased by Google. The bad news for fans of BumpTop is that with the purchase there will be no new sales of the Mac or PC version of the software.
The real rub is that there will be no new updates to either version for those who have already purchased. I wonder if we will see a free version of BumpTop offered by Google in the future. I'd be mad if I bought the software right now.
