7-year-old ‘Single Ladies’: too sexy, or not?
LOS ANGELES (WIREUPDATE.COM) — A YouTube video of a group of seven year olds dancing to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ has gone viral on the Internet, with people saying the underage girls are dressed too sexy and are dancing inappropriately.
The video features the 7-year-olds wearing skimpy tops, hot pants, and thigh high stockings while dancing to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’. While a crowd can be heard cheering on the background, people launched fierce criticism against the video and against the girls’ parents on websites.
“Obviously a talented group of dancers, but this is just wrong,” wrote YouTube user MakeupxJunkie09. “Being a mom myself, I would never consider letting my daughter walk around the house like this! Let alone on a stage in front of people. The mothers of these girls should be ashamed!”
“This is disgusting. What parents in their right mind would let their daughters dance like that [and] wear those clothes?! They are 7!!!,” wrote user maryownzyou2. “Nice video for sickos who like little girls!”
However, not everyone was as critical. “There is nothing wrong with how the young girls dance,” wrote user nelgar0312. “Because if this is their passion, [they're] doing it because they love it. It’s better to have them doing something they love then doing something that will get them in trouble!! So, you go girls!”
