The 2010 Tony awards ceremony, like those in past years, is presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.  The show is scheduled for Sunday, June 13, 2010 with television coverage on CBS.

I've yet to see any of the shows on this list, however I think it's great to see two of these nominees are backed or based on popular music artists that many fans know of.  The American Idiot play is fully based on Green Day's music, while Fela! has Jay-Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith among its list of producers.  I'm also familiar with several of the actors and actresses who have been nominated.  Denzel Washington is among my all-time favorites and I recently enjoyed Jude Law's film performance in "Sherlock Holmes."Congratulations to all of those included in the Tony nominations for 2010.
